About
Our Madrasah (Al-Falah Educational Centre) consists of approximately 800 students and 42 classes over the weekdays and weekends. There are around 40 teachers who dedicate their valuable time towards our Madrasah and its activities. By the grace of Allah SWT, our Madrasah has had the honour of producing over 40 Huffadh over the years. At present, all our graduates and students are in the process of obtaining their degrees and completing secular education.
Mission

Curriculum
- Qur’an
The first stage of this is learning how to read the Arabic script. This is done by means of teaching the Arabic alphabets and rules of basic pronunciation using a text known as the Ahsanul Qawaid. Once this is complete, the child will progress onto learning to recite the Qur’an fluently starting with Juz Amma and the rules of Tajwid are taught.
- Memorisation
Students memorise various surah’s from Juz ʿAmma and various duʿās every week at Al FEC.
- Islamic Studies
At Al FEC, we follow the An-Nasihah publications curriculum. The Islamic Studies lessons consist of engaging group lessons where the children will learn about the integral aspects of Islam which form the foundation of our faith:
• Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence; the rules and practices we follow in Islam)
• Aq’aaid (learning and understanding Islamic beliefs)
• Sīrah (The biography of the Prophet Muḥammad, peace be upon him, and its relevance)
•Tārikh (Islamic history, spanning the lives of all the previous Prophets as well as major events of importance)
• Ādāb and Akhlaq (Islamic manners and etiquette essential to lead a moral and rewarding life)
For the teenage classes, Islamic Studies classes are tailored towards topics that are relevant to the issues they face at that age.

Curriculum:
This is a comprehensive Programme for the memorisation of Qur’an including a complete catering for students who are attending full time mainstream education. This will include regular revision of surah’s that have already been memorised. Our experienced teachers will help devise a plan to make it easier for students to achieve their Qur’an memorisation objective.
Lessons are broken down into 3 parts:
- Qur’an recital to teacher of new homework/ lesson
- Recital of previous two lessons and current lesson together (Close to lesson)
- Consolidation: Revision of previously memorised surahs / pages
Admissions
Due to the challenging nature of the regime that studying Hifz demands it is important that students, parents and teachers are all satisfied and confident that it can be adhered to successfully. It is for this reason that we have a fairly rigorous admission procedure as listed below. Students are required to pass an assessment before being accepted into the class.
